This week for writing we learnt about suspenseful writing and how we can write a suspenseful beginning by using imagery and dialogue.

Suspense is a feeling of excitement or uncertainty about what will happen next in the movie/story.

Imagery means using your imaginations when the movie/story describes something with out using an picture.

Dialogue is a conversation between two or more characters.

I enjoyed learning about suspenseful beginnings.

I need to approve more on is writing better dialogues.

I approved on was adding imargey, dialogues, & making it suspense.

This week for Reading we had to solve a Mystery at Wharepuni Estate.

First I had to search other and easer words using the site called word hippo.

Then when I was done I had to read the whole paragraph that was high lighted with the words I had searched for its easer version.

Next my partner and I had to connect the clue in the crime scene from our reading slide to each suspect and then write for each suspect thier motive then our alibi.

Lastly we had to pick our suspect then write our reasons for the suspect we picked before we present it to our whole reading group

This week for inquiry we leanrt about the matariki stars.

First we picked one star from our inquiry slide.

Then we picked one of the following things to make a DLO/Slides of after we picked one of the stars.

Lastly I finished my DLO about Ururangi and one of the following things I made a DLO of was how did Moari sailed their boats.

What I did good at was sticking to the topi waht I didn’t do good at was adding more info.

I enjoyed making a DLO of this star.

This week for inquiry we learnt about the Matariki stars.

First we picked one of the matariki stars from our inquiry slides

Then we had to pick one of the following DLO/Slides to create about, on the slide we have chosen.

Lastly I finished the DLO I have chosen to create and then I showed my teacher then bloged it.

I did good at was adding lost of info but what I didn’t do good at was adding more detail.

I enjoyed reserching about what are the best times to grow vegatables.

 

This week for maths we are learning about volume.

First we did a task about measuring volume and we had a list of items we had to measure.

Then we had to measure the length width and hight then we add the measurement then we times the measurement togather to get our the answer.

Lastly me and my partner finished I showed our teacher be ofre we were going to blog.

I did good at measureing it.  I need to approve more on is my times table. I enjoyed measureing it.

This week for inquiry we had to compare & contrast.

First we had to make a copy of a DLO thats set up for us before we pick two countrys to compare between on the DLO.

Then we write what both countryes have in the middle then add what their own country has to eat.

Lastly I showed my teacher before I was going to blog it.

I did good at wtiting both countrys own things they eat and both have.  L need to approve on is to add more of their own food on each side.

I enjoyed looking at the pictures on the slides of each countrys.

This week my group for reading learnt about complex sentences.

First we did a task dividing the complex sentences to independent and dependent clauses.

Then we I was done with the task I showed the teacher before I moved pn to my next task.

Lastly my task was to explain was is a complex sentence.  After I finished that I showed my teacher then I published it to my blog.

I did good at explaining what a complex sentence is.  I need more work on is adding more info.I enjoyed adding examples.
