Subtracting decimals

Today for maths we have been learning how to subtract decimals.

First we had to answer eleven questions on a paper sheet some of them was addition but most of them was subtraction.

Then we had to make a DLO explaing how to subtract decimals.

Laslty we had to finish is before the block is done and blog it.

I did good at giving an example but I need to approve on explaing it and giving more detail better.

I enjoyed it because I like subtracting.

PE

This term for PE we been learning how to sprint, shot put, discus and high jump.

First thing we did was learnt to sprint first we had to get in a lane girls first then the boys behind going after then they run then come back for the boys to run in each lanes there was 2 – 3 students in each then we did the first 3 girls before the 3 fast boys before they all race each other.

Then days later we learnt to do shot put just holding a metal ball by our neck before, the girls use the blue ball and the boys use the green ball the coach only picked the top 2 of the boys group and the girls group.

Next days we learnt to do discus. First we had to hold it like a claw but the middle and the thumb should we the tightest theb before we throw we flip it over.

Lastly we did high jumps after it was so hard for me but really that was the one I liked the most first we run straight then curve before jumping lefting up your legs and landing on your back.

I did good at discus and shot put but I need to work on sprinting and high jump.

I enjoyed PE because I liked high jump.

Health & Body Research

This week for reading we had to pick a topic to right about and it could be any topic.

First we were discussing what topic each persons topic.

Then we had to reasearch info about our topic I picked Health and Body because its one of the most important priority.

Lastly we got in each groups presenting our slides but just presenting small bits of each slide.

I did good at making this slides but I need to approve more on adding detail.

I enjoyed it becasue I learnt more about the brain.

 

Te Reo T4 W6

This week for Te Reo we been translating.

I approved on translating the words to maori to english but I need to approve on my te reo maori.

I enjoyed this task because I like translating words.

Attribute an image

This week for cybersmart we had to attrbute four images.

First I had to find four images that you might use for a blog post, Digital Learning Object or presentation.Drag and drop each image into the slides that have been created (slides 6-9).

Then I had to add the following:

Image Title: linked to image source

Author Name

License Type: linked to license 

I need to approve on is attributing better images But I did good at attributing them.

I enjoyed it because I like cybersmarts.

 

Film Review

Thsi week for Writing we had to make a choice of which movie did we like the best from the film festival.

First we picked a film from a different school.

Then used this template to write the film review.

Lastly I bloged it before finishing my narrative writing.

I did bad at adding more review I did good at finishing this.

I enjoyed it because I liek watching movies/films.

Showing respect to the ones looking after you

Today for PB4L we were discussing the importants of being respectful to the ones that are looking after us.

First we answerd a jamboard with six question before making a DLO of the following:

  • Slide show
  • Poster
  • Animation
  • Movie
  • Story
  • Piece of writing.

I picked to do a poster because it was simple and my group had to get it done before lunch time.

I need to approved on designing my poster but I need to approve on adding more reasons to it.

I enjoyed it because I can designed it in my way.

Asking for Help

This week for PB4L we are learning on how to seek help is a sign of strength and an important part of the learning process.

First we had to answer a jamboard with four questions.

Then had to make a DLO landscape or portrait and we had to include the following:

The best way to ask for help: Use both images and text to illustrate the steps for seeking help. Make it clear and easy to understand.The people you can ask for help: Include images and names of individuals or groups you feel comfortable seeking help from, such as parents, teachers, friends, family, or other trusted adults.

Lastly I had to blog and show my teacher.

I did good at making the design but I need to approve on giving more detail.

I enjoyed this task because I like desgning my own DLO’s

Dialogue Wonder

This term in reading we are diving into a novel study for the book “Wonder” by R.J. Palacio.  This week we are focusing on what we can learn about the characters, especially through their dialogue.  Characters’ thoughts and feelings can be revealed through their dialogue.  This allows readers to make inferences about their internal perspectives and motivations.

First page was 10 – 13 and it was about a kid who whishes to be an ordinary just because of how he looks.  Then the story also tells us about the things he likes and his friends.

Then we had to complete reading the story chapter 13 – 14 – 18 and answer a dialogue.

I did good at putting dialogue into the bubbles but I need to approve on adding more detail.

I enjoyed answering the questions.

 

 

Plan & Blurb For (The Halloween Search)

This term for writing we are writing are own narritive.  Through the eyar we learnt about what is a narrative and the five story elements before getting to write one.

First we had to use the Brain storming template or paper to brain storm about the story were going to write about.

Then when we were done we had to summarise our story we wrote like a blurb from a back of a book.

I did good at writing my own blurb but I need to approve on writing more to my blrub.

I enjoyed it because  we had to write our own story.
