This weeks subject for Inquiry is “Migration”.  We needed to make a DLO and write 10 questions we would ask to a person that is migrating to NZ.  I enjoyed this task because I like asking many different questions.

This week for a little task for inquiry we had to read this book called “Amazing Facts” which was all about the Olympics.  First we needed to read the book and pick a fact we liked the most and make a DLO about.  Next we needed to research and gather all the information we had and put it together.  Lastly I made sure that the whole layout had good colour coordination.  I did good at colour coordination along with designs but I need to approve on adding more detain to the info part.  I enjoyed this task because the fact I picked,  I found it a little funny.

This term, Olympics has been our subject for inquiry.  We have been doing different things related to the Ancient and Modern Olympics and for this challnge we had to make a poster for the 776 BC Ancient Olympics like they give to winners in the Modern Olympics.

This week for inquiry we have been learning about air resistance.

First we needed to draw and label examples of objects affected by air resistance.

Next I needed to draw a parachutist falling through the air.

Lastly I needed to draw a bird flying against the wind and design the slides.

I enjoyed this task because I like designing.

I did good at drawing the items but I need to approve on adding more details.

Today for inquiry we were learning about the forces of tension & compression.

First we discussed as a class the two different forces.

Next we started our task. We had to draw and label examples of obkest under tension and compression.

Lastly we had to make a DLO about tension and compression .

I enjoyed this task because I liked making the images.

I did good at defining the words but I need to approve on giving more detail.

This week LS1 learnt about what is a water filter.

First we explained what is a water filter toagather on the mat.

Then we went and got our chromebooks and sat at a table.

Lastly I made a google slide explaning what is a water filter and why we need a water filter. I did well at explaning about water filters and I didn’t improve was explaning more.I enjoyed learning about the water filter.

This week  my class and I learned about empathy.

First we watched a video about is empathy

Then when we were done watching the video we had to make a poster explaning empathy.

Lastly I was done with my poster expalning and what empathy looks like in the class.
And I approved on being pacific But I did not approve on understanding other peoples empathy.

While I enjoyed watching the video and understanding it.

This week my class LS1 and I were learning about what is a water filter.

First my partner and I finished a google drawing of our opinion of how we would make the water filter.

Then when we were done we showed the teacher and then she told us to make our own google poster explaning what is a water filter and why we need it.

Lastly I finished it and I showed an expert in LS1 before I showed my teacher then I bloged it.

I’ve approve on trying my own opinions and I haven’t approved on writing more.

But I enjoyed making my way of the water filter.
